Riverside Public Utilities (RPU) aims to increase energy conservation through no cost energy efficiency measures for residents. In partnership with SoCalGas, the RPU Mobile-Home and Multi-Family Energy Efficiency Program is designed to help lower your monthly bill, while making your home more energy efficient through professionally installed home improvements. It is designed to increase your comfort and safety while reducing your energy usage.
Program Eligibility
Eligibility for the Mobile-Home Program or Multi-Family program is based on housing type. Residential customers must have an active SoCalGas account and receive electric services from Riverside Public Utilities. Customers must first apply through SoCalGas Mobile Home Program.

Riverside Public Utilities (RPU) electric customers may be eligible for the following no-cost energy-saving home improvements by RPU's authorized contractor Synergy:
- New refrigerator replacement (up to 18 cubic feet) and recycling of old unit
- Qualifying old unit must be manufactured in 2009 or earlier
- Smart programmable thermostat
- New energy-efficient LED lighting
- Life cycle refrigerant management
- Electrically commuted motor (ECM) HVAC motors
- Crossover duct replacement (mobile-homes only)
