Summer Reliability Program

What is the Summer Reliability Program?

The Summer Reliability Program offers the direct installation of energy efficiency measures to reduce energy usage and electrical demand during peak demand times of 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm, with the goal of avoiding power outages and minimizing impacts to California.

Eligible Energy Efficiency Measures

  • Thermostat: Upgrade your home with a smart thermostat, increasing your comfort with the touch of your smartphone.
  • Single Family Home Attic Insulation: Insulation will help you increase your comfort, saving you money & staying cool.
  • Duct Test and Seal: Test air ducts and seal air leaks to help lower your energy bills.
  • Manufactured Home Duct Optimization: Includes the replacement of crossover ducts or a return duct retrofit.

How Can I Qualify for the Program?

  • You must have an active SoCalGas Account
  • Tenants/Renters must have authorization from the property owner or property management company to implement the upgrades.
  • Only available for Single Family Homes and manufactured homes.

This program is funded by California utility ratepayers and administered by SoCalGas Company under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission through a contract awarded to Synergy Companies. Consumers are not required to purchase any additional goods or services from the contractor to participate in this program. This program is available on a first-come, first-served basis until allocated funds are no longer available or the program is terminated. This program may be modified or terminated without notice. Limitation may apply. Not all customers will qualify for all products and services.
